Doc Prep Roots
Headquartered in Novi, Michigan, with satellite
production and sales offices throughout the US,
Document Processing Systems, Inc. (DPS) has been a
pioneer and leader in the mortgage banking industry
since our inception in 1982 when Jack Shenkman,
Chairman and Richard Chapin, C.E.O, began the
company. DPS’ Direct-Docs® closing document
preparation services have a long successful history
of meeting the document needs of a national customer
base including prominent mortgage banking firms,
established mortgage brokers, mortgage bankers and
credit unions.Technology Leadership
DPS was one of the first companies to embrace the
Internet in the 1990s and quickly transitioned its
Direct-Docs® services to a web-enabled
platform/on-line service. This technology leadership
continues today as DPS embraces the next major
Industry transition: paperless eMortgages.
Vision for Tomorrow-Paperless eMortgages
Today!
To facilitate the transition to fully paperless
mortgages, most companies will need to provide an
alternate web presence in order for their clients
and partners to execute loans. DPS provides this
Second Home on the Web, through its DPS eMortgage
Studio®, an open, yet secure, web-based
collaborative work environment that serves as the
central meeting place for all your electronic
mortgage operation needs.
While geared toward helping lenders and title
companies work together to electronically close
loans, the DPS eMortgage Studio® allows all
participants in the value chain (lenders, title
agents, closing agents, borrowers, sellers,
attorneys, investors, servicers, custodians,
registrars) to use this Second Home on the Web in
order to collaborate on the execution of an eMortgage loan. The DPS eMortgage Studio® is fully
outsourced, standards-based and custom brand-able,
so adding it to your current process or website
operation is simple, seamless, and cost–effective.
